AKIRA
In 1988, disaster struck Tokyo when the Akira project went through its maraculious metamorphosis. Now, thirty years later, Neo-Tokyo has been rebuilt, and Akira is about to appear again. A young escapee from a bizaree medical expiriment is the one who can cause all of this to happen. Can he be stopped before he can no longer control his rapidly increasing power? Well... maybe...

Comments: Pretty good, but some scenes are very graphic. It's not quite adult, but it's still a little above the teens rating, I'd say. Use your own judgment.
Available: No longer. But it's possibly the most popular anime movie in the US, so you can probably easily find it at any video renting place (except BlockBuster. Worst video place I've ever been too.)
From: Orion/Streamline Pictures, but their copyright expired. *Oh well.* It will be re-released soon though, from AnimeEgo, if I remember correctly.
